Beth Gibson
Operations Manager
Beth Gibson is an elementary school teacher who creates caring learning communities and builds intentional relationships with students and their families. As Operations Manager and co-founder of Freedom Arts, Beth handles administrative tasks, oversees bookkeeping and accounting, manages taxes, and assists with executive responsibilities. She also contributes to the organization’s goal of disrupting the school to prison pipeline by consulting on curriculum, gathering data and reports, and teaching within After Sessions. She works with staff and youth to curate a leveled and culturally-relevant library to increase youth literacy and social consciousness. Beth has worked as an elementary school teacher in the Parkway School District, South City Community School, and currently with the School District of University City. She graduated magna cum laude from University of Missouri-Columbia in 2009 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education, and summa cum laude from Lindenwood University in 2013 with a Masters in Elementary Mathematics.
